Each year the WV Make It Shine Program sponsors Earth Day at the Capitol. Exhibitors include various state and federal agencies as well as private organizations. There are many educational and interactive displays for students focusing on preservation of the environment.

Cultural Center - Holiday Craft Fair

The West Virginia Division of Culture and History will kick off the season with a holiday celebration at the Cultural Center. Highlights for the weekend include a craft fair, kids’ craft activities and live music. The weekend’s events are free and open to the public.

WV Festival of Foods (Taste of Charleston)

The WV Festival of Foods is a cooking show featuring the "Annual Taste of Charleston."
There will be guest chef presentations, exhibits, and a chef cook off.
The event is taking place at the Charleston Civic Center, August 25 & 26, 2007 from noon to 6:00pm.
